MySQL Replica Console

In STAR we use MySQL to store some tens of GB and we use MySQL replica to increase availability and fault tolerance. This project aims to develop some tools to help manage replication when the number of servers is too high to manage by hand, and to integrate MySQL as part of our PPDG GRID effort.

The replica console allows you to manage a list of server, and to execute queries and command on any number of them. You can compare the result of the queries, you can check whether the master and slaves are in synch and many more.

This project was initiated in May 2002 by Gabriele Carcassi, as part of his work at Brookhaven National Laboratory for STAR collaboration and Particle Physics Data Grid.
